If you’re looking for Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle review, you’ve found the place to be. But first, if you haven’t read my other, main, Ultimate Bundles Review post, you need to read that first.

For real. You need to understand the whole point behind these ultimate bundles first. Go read it here:

Are the Ultimate Bundles Legit? Scam? Amazing Deal? Or Marketing Ploy?

Ok, now that you’re back – you’ll know that I don’t often recommend these bundles. I usually take the approach of “eh, this’ll be a good fit for some, but otherwise, don’t waste your money”. So for me to actually LIKE one of these bundles, means that I actually like it. Please know that honesty is super, duper important to me and I’d MUCH rather have your trust than your money

With that said – this bundle(unlike last years)is a good fit for ME at this point in my life and I liked it. I’m not interested in ALL the topics, but I’m interested in enough to make it worth it. If you’re trying to decide if it’s worth it for you too – here’s my suggestion:

This Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle might be FOR YOU if:
– You would use at least $50-$100 worth of its’ resources (scroll down for the contents & to decide for yourself).
– You have an extra $30 lying around you can spend on this.

But DON’T buy this Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle if:
– You don’t think you’ll use at least $50-$100 worth.
– You’re on a tight budget and shouldn’t be spending an extra $30 on a non-necessity right now.
– You bought last year’s Healthy Living bundle and are still working your way through that one.

A couple other things to note:
1) I am not able to go through EVERY resource in the bundle. I don’t have time. But I do still spend a lot, a lot, of time going through the bundle and reviewing things for you. No other blogger does this. Other bloggers are probably smarter than me (or want to sell more w/less time spent), but oh well, this is what I do. I’d love it if you gave me a follow or two in return (facebook, instagram, twitter, pinterest, email list), but even if not – I hope you find this review helpful.

2) I tend to not review very many courses. The idea of online courses has become pretty popular in recent years and now it seems like EVERYONE makes an online course. But personally, I’m not really interested in them and don’t have the time to weed through them all. However, if there’s a course you’re super interested in, email me or leave me a comment below and I’ll try to look through it for you and give a quick assessment.

3) New to this year’s Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle are Cheat Sheets. These are an extra add-on you’ll be prompted to add to your cart. I’m not normally a fan of “upsells” and you totally don’t have to buy these in order to enjoy the bundle! However, I have been able to review them and they do seem like a nice addition to the bundle. They’re an extra $7 but might be especially helpful for you if you tend to get overwhelmed by all the bundle resources and content.

If there’s a resource that you’re really interested in but I haven’t yet reviewed – leave me a comment and I’ll look through it quickly and give you my consensus! 🙂

Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle Dates: Sept. 5th (8am EST) – Sept. 10 (midnight EST)
Cost: $29.99

Allergy-Free Cooking
– orange = Amazon link

maroon = other link

green = online course

  • 14 Dinner Recipes for Food Allergies  by Megan Lavin ($4.99)
  • 25 Allergy Friendly Treatsby Dena Norton ($9.99) 45pgs. I don’t know if I’d pay $10 for this (I’m super cheap when it comes to recipe books), but still, overall, I liked this one! The book was well organized, clean and bright, with a picture on each page and recipes that sounded delicious! I will probably add some of these to my Plan To Eat account (btw if you don’t already use Plan To Eat & don’t know what to do with all the recipes you find online, it’s a really great tool.)
  • Gluten-Free Kids in the Kitchen: Simple Recipes Made By Kids, For Kids by Raia Todd ($5.99)
  • Go Grain Free by Jill Tieman ($67.00)
  • Goodness Me It’s Gluten Free Baking: Bread, Pastry, Cakes, Cookies, Muffins & More by Vanessa Hudson ($5.99) – 78pgs. This book is definitely preferable over the Food Allergy Mom’s Guide below. While this ebook is mostly a collection of recipes, what I like is that they start off giving a recipe for a flour mixture for two different kinds of GF flours. One they call “Baking Flour” and the other they call “Bread Flour. I like this method because all you have to do is pre-mix some GF flours together and have the mixes on hand. Then baking with them is easy!
  • How to Go Gluten Free: What to Do After Being Diagnosed with Celiac Disease or Gluten Sensitivity by Jenna Drew ($27.00)
  • The Food Allergy Mom’s Guide to Substitutions for Cooking and Baking by Kelly Roenicke ($7.99) – 17pgs. First, a huge pet peeve of when an author overvalues their products. $8 for 17pgs?? This should be set at $1.99 tops. Or honestly, this would be better as a mailing list opt-in freebie. I wanted to like this one. We don’t have food allergies but I am trying to learn how to cook with nut flours and non-dairy. 4 pages gave very general substitution suggestions, i.e. use applesauce for eggs, or almond milk for cows milk. Things you probably already knew. The rest of the “book” was a basic chart of substitutions like different kinds of spices. I was hoping for something more in-depth, like telling me how to alter a wheat-flour recipe to coconut flour. Eh, this one is definitely not worth $8.
  • The Gluten-Free Allergy-Friendly Lunchbox by Kathlena ($14.95)
  • Tips on Handling Life With Food Allergies by Kelly Roenicke ($5.99)
  • Weeding Out Wheat by Trisha Gilkerson ($9.95)

Alternative Health

  • 3-Month Rise UP: Online Integrative Wellness Membership  by Kristyn Bango & Stephanie Wharton ($45.00)
  • Beat Crohn’s: The Real Truth About Crohn’s Disease and How You Can Overcome It by Megan Redshaw ($7.99)
  • Clear Skin Secrets: 12 Steps to Clear Skin, Naturally by Amie Skilton ($30.00) 164pgs. So I suffer from acne. If you know me in real life, you’ve probably seen me at times with broken out skin I’m trying to hide under makeup and you’re just kind and not going to say anything. It’s ok. I’m pretty open with myself about this aspect of my life. 🙂 I’ve been to many dermatologists over the years. None of them have ever suggested looking into the underlying issues causing it all; they just throw medication at me. I’ve been on a slow journey that past few years to figure out diet and lifestyle changes, but realistically, I’ve had acne so long at this point, that I’m not super committed to a super strict diet either. I want to enjoy life, and if that means I sometimes break out, then eh… ANYWAYS. All this to say – I’ve done my research. I know what I’m talking about on this. This book seems to be very in-depth and covers a lot. I plan to come back to this and read it more thoroughly. Now, is it worth $30? Idk, as I tend to prefer my ebooks to be half that amount. But do I think it’s a solid inclusion in this bundle, at least for me? Definitely.
  • Debunking PCOS by Nat Kringoudis  ($8.85) – 32pgs. This was offered in the 2015 Healthy Living Bundle as well. I reviewed it then too, but got to put some fresh eyes on it again just now. While it feels a bit overpriced ($9 for 32 pages of info?) I do think it’s got some great info in it still.
  • Fix Your Period 5-Day Cleanse: The Perfect Jumpstart to Get Your Hormones Back on Track by Nicole Jardim ($37.00)
  • Love Your Adrenals: 7 Day Kickstart by Jules Galloway ($37.00) 45pgs. Wait, I don’t know why they’re saying this retails for $37?? On their site you can get this book, along with a week of daily emails and a facebook live q&a session for only $27.95. But only when the program is live. So now it’s worth $10 more, lol. I totally don’t get how some people price their products apparently. This reads like someone coming over to your house every morning, then you sit outside on the covered porch drinking green tea together and they tell you what you’re supposed to think about that day. I mean, if that’s for you, then maybe this will be for you? It’s not really my style. Or maybe I’m still balking at the price? Anyway. Pages 5-20 are the conversational “here’s what to think about today” pages. The rest is a shopping list and recipes of healthy food supposed to heal your gut in only 7 days. Or something like that.
  • The Non-Tinfoil Guide to EMFs by Nicolas Pineault  ($14.99) – 219pgs. Sooooo. Do you watch Better Call Saul on AMC by chance? It’s one of my favorite shows and there’s a character named Chuck who has kind of gone a bit crazy and believes that he’s suffering from electro-hypersensitivity. While you kind of want to believe that maybe he truly is suffering from this disorder and that it’s a real thing, it’s proven during the show that it’s all in his head. Anyways. Whether or not you watch the show, I’m having a hard time skimming through this book without thinking about the character of Chuck. Because while I believe that there may be something to the radiation levels we take in from our electronics and I’m not above being open to that possibility – I also recognize that technology is how we function nowadays…and maybe it’s something I’m willing to put myself at risk for in order to have the conveniences it provides? Hmm…I think I’m going to skip over this book for now. BUT. This seems to be reviewed well on Amazon and is of a high quality and I think it’s something that I’ll come back to and read more about later.
  • Water Wellness: Using the Healing Virtues of Water to Revive, Recover, and Recharge by Christine Dalziel ($97.00)
  • Women’s Health Masterclass by Wardee Harmon ($99.00)

Detox & Reset

  • 4-Week Total Paleo Reset Plan by Irena Macri of Eat Drink Paleo ($45.00)
  • Ditch Your Nutritionist: Your Step-By-Step Guide To Look Your Best, Feel Your Best… Guaranteed by Anne Marie Garland ($39.00)
  • Fix Your Period 5-Day Cleanse: The Perfect Jumpstart to Get Your Hormones Back on Track by Nicole Jardim ($37.00) – see Alternative Health section above
  • InTENsive Reset & Refresh  by Wendie Schneider ($19.99)
  • Love Your Adrenals: 7 Day Kickstart by Jules Galloway ($37.00) – see Alternative Health section above
  • Mind Your Gut Health by Daniella Hogarth ($8.75) – 118pgs. I scrolled through the first few chapters and while I admit that though this seemed very comprehensive, for myself, it seemed like mostly stuff I already knew: whole foods, non-processed food, non-GMO, paleo diet, get exercise, stress less. (Although I did appreciate that the author recommended clear liquor over wine/beer, since mixed drinks happen to be my drink of choice, ha ha.) I think that this will probably be a good resource for many, especially if they are new to the idea of gut health, but eh, it’s not what I need right now.
  • The Easy Detox + Recipe Book by Jennifer Lynn ($9.00)
  • The Real Food Reset: 30 Days to Lose Weight, Be Free from Cravings & Feeling Great! by Roland Denzel ($12.99)

Gardening
orange = Amazon link

maroon = other link

green = online course

  • Container Gardening: Your Guide to Container Gardening Anywhere by Heather Harris ($7.99)
  • Fall & Winter Gardening Without the Overwhelm by Rootsy ($7.50) – 38pgs. Eh. It was ok. It had decent info in it, I think I started reading it but realized that all I really wanted was a short and concise blog post about best winter plants. This had a lot more info in it about weather zones and how to cover plants.
  • Grow a Good Life Guide to Planning Your Vegetable Garden by Rachel Arsenault ($7.99)
  • Grow Abundant Herbs & Greens….in Pots! by Nicola Newman ($4.90)
  • Growing 5 Warm Weather Vegetables Made Easy: A Quick, Simple and Inexpensive Growing Guide by CaliKim ($14.99) – 89pgs. This was decent. It went through several of the basic veggies and gave in-depth tips for planting each. I might come back to this one, but idk, it also didn’t wow me. I might use it because it’s part of the bundle, but I don’t know if I’d ever pay for it.
  • Growing Urban Orchards: How to Care for Fruit Trees in the City and Beyond by Susan Poizner ($19.95)
  • How to Grow a Vertical Garden by Anna Hackman ($39.00)
  • Seed Starting for Beginners: Sow Inside Grow Outside by Melissa Will ($5.00)
  • The Art of Gardening: Building Your Soil by Susan Vinskofski ($13.00) 67pgs. This actually seems like a really good resource with lots of good info. I’d totally go back and read it all, BUT the pages are all landscape orientation and all the text is divided into 3 columns! This wouldn’t be a big deal at all if on a printed page, but trying to read this as a .pdf was a struggle. I don’t know if it reads better as a .mobi or .epub file. I might try downloading it to my kindle to read later. I wish this was available as a printed book; I might consider buying it that way.
  • The Ultimate Garden Planning Spreadsheets by Laura Seabolt ($9.00) – this is an EXCEL document. Hmm. I’m torn on my thoughts. If you’re a planner, you might enjoy this. I can’t seem to find a place online where this is being sold to point you to for more info. So basically, if I were you I wouldn’t buy the bundle specifically for this resource, but it might be a nice little added bonus.
  • Understanding Your Climate by Angi Schneider ($17.00)
  • Vegetable Gardening the Easy Way by Jami Boys ($10.00) – 85pgs. I thought this was actually a great little book! I’ve been gardening for a few years now (though I often give up and let my garden wither away as soon as the triple digits hit 🙁 ), and even I picked up a few tips and tricks! I’ll come back to this one for sure.

Healthy Children
orange = Amazon link

  • Fit2B Girls: The Holistic, Non-Sexual Body Education eCourse That Empowers Girls to Respect Their Bodies and Stay Healthy by Beth Learn ($39.97) – I skimmed through much of the course and was pleasantly surprised by what I found. This is basically sex ed without the sex, lol. Not only does this course cover basic healthy living topics, it covers all the female reproductive organs and also teaches girls the basics of tracking their cycles – I LOVE that we’re starting to become more open about talking about this! I absolutely plan to empower my own daughter with knowledge about her body – women’s reproductive cycles are so much more than just “that time of the month”! (sorry, hah, I can get on a soapbox about this) Note that while this covers a lot of info on the female reproductive cycle, it stops there and doesn’t go further into topics such as intercourse, sexuality, birth control, etc. instead leaving those topics for later discussion according to their family/culture’s teachings. If you’ve got a daughter around the age of starting their period, this course alone might be worth the cost of the entire bundle!
  • Gluten-Free Kids in the Kitchen: Simple Recipes Made By Kids, For Kids by Raia Todd ($5.99)
  • Healthy Breakfasts Kids Can Make by Katie Kimball ($20.00)
  • Homeopathy for Mommies: Family Guide for the Acute Use of Homeopathy by Sue Meyer ($14.99)
  • National Parks Guide for Families by Saren Loosli ($10.00) – Basically it’s an online collection of very in-depth blog posts covering a number of national parks as well as tips for visiting. I was really excited about this one, but to be honest? While the information in each post was great, I really wish there had been a printable guide for each park! It felt a bit cumbersome to have to go into the course only to be linked to a private blog post for each park. I hate to say it (because I really wanted to love this one), but a couple of pinterest searches for whichever park you’re planning to visit might end up being just as effective as this. But maybe the course creators will read this and decide to add some printable park summaries to their course and then I’ll change my mind on it. 🙂
  • Real Food A to Z by Starlene Stewart ($4.99) – 35pgs. So…I WANT to like this. I like the idea behind it – an ABC picture book for kids with only pictures of fruits and veggies and healthy food. But. Realistically? This ebook only makes sense if it were a printed book to look at w/kids. But if you printed it, it’d only be worth it to print in color. An I don’t have a color printer. And if I did, it seems like a waste of ink. And really, the entire thing is just pages with a big letter and a single image of a vegetable. It’s not really something worth buying, imho.
  • The Well Nourished Lunchbox by Georgia Harding ($18.69)

  • Celebrate: Your Comprehensive Guide to Low-Tox Entertaining by Alexx Stuart ($9.00)
  • Clear Skin Secrets: 12 Steps to Clear Skin, Naturally by Amie Skilton ($30.00) – see Alternative Health section above.
  • DIY Face Masks and Scrubs by Stacy Karen ($3.99) – 92pgs. I love that this book is priced appropriately! Also, it’s a pretty good little book, LOTS of homemade face mask and scrub recipes. Probably a better option than the Nourishing Nature book below.
  • Holistic Living For Penny Pinchers by Meg Richardson ($9.99)
  • Nourishing Nature: Beauty Recipes from the Garden by Kristy Doubet Haare ($11.99) – 51 pgs. This is a fun idea. I admit that I’ll probably never go through all the work necessary to grow and create all these products, but it’s fun to have the knowledge. Don’t know if it’s worth $12 when a lot of these recipes you could find for free on pinterest though. The DIY Face Masks book above is probably a better option.
  • The Non-Toxic Home Handbook by Kresha Faber ($14.99)

Homesteading
orange = Amazon link

maroon = other link

green = online course

  • Creating Your Off-Grid Homestead: Radical Inspiration and Practical Advice by Teri Page ($9.95) – 95pgs. I just read/scrolled through this entire book in one sitting! Mostly out of curiosity rather than planning to use any of the info in my real life, but I find the whole concept of homesteading and living fully off the grid fascinating. I liked the book a lot, and even though I have no actual use for it, it’s still a fun addition to the bundle.
  • Homemade Dairy by Jill Winger ($9.99)
  • Provident Homesteading by Julie Gropp ($12.99)
  • The Homestead Goal Planner: Create the Homestead You Want in the Time You Have by Sarah Toney ($9.00) – 27pgs. If you’ve read other bundle reviews of mine, you’ll know that I have a couple pet peeves. One is when skimpy resources place a too-high value on their product. Another is when half the pages are filled with empty “notes” filler pages. This is an example of both pet peeves. Of the 27 pages, 4 are title/copyright/upsell end page. 8 have informational text. The remaining 15 pages are notes/calendar/daily schedule/project breakdown pages. Which you can either find anywhere for free on pinterest, or doodle into your bullet journal. So you’re really paying $9 for 8 pages of actual information. Is this a good resource in spite of it all? Maybe. Maybe not. Not that it matters as part of the bundle price, but either way, I think it’s way overvaluing itself.

Natural Remedies

maroon = other link

green = online course

  • Adaptogens: A Holistic Approach to Healing by Kristyn Bango (19.99) – 58pgs. Eh. I guess it’s got some good info? But it is worth 20 bucks for 58 pages? Probably not. Most of this stuff can be found in other resources as well.
  • Essential Oils for Women’s Health: Maiden, Mother, Crone by Rachel Silves ($9.99)
  • Essential Oils Notebook by Crystal Brothers ($17.00)
  • Herbal Remedies for a Peaceful Postpartum by Christine Cassella ($4.99)
  • Homeopathy for Mommies: Family Guide for the Acute Use of Homeopathy by Sue Meyer ($14.99)
  • How to Be Healthy: Natural Remedies for Cold & Flu Care by Heidi Villegas ($9.00)
  • The Truth About Essential Oils and Cancer by Dr. Eric Z ($3.99)
  • Your Gentle Guide to Labour and Childbirth with Acupressure & Essential Oils by Katie Schablon ($15.00) – 16pgs. First. This is almost $1/pg, totally overpriced. Second, I have a sneaky suspicion that this was once a (albeit rather in-depth) powperpoint presentation that that author decided to turn into an “ebook” and slapped a $15 price tag on. While the Acupressure info is interesting, I bet you could find it cheaper elsewhere. Also, for Essential Oils in Labor, you might want to check out my FREE printable! Just as much info about using essential oils during birth, but for FREE, AND as a printable you can print out and put in your labor room.

  • Confessions of a Cloth Diaper Convert: A Simple, Comprehensive Guide to Using Cloth Diapers (2nd edition)  by Erin Odom ($12.50) – 207pgs. The 1st edition of this book was offered in the 2015 Healthy living bundle. I don’t know how much, or if, there’s been many changes since the first edition, but I thought that the 1st edition was a pretty good overall guide to cloth diapers. I’ve used cloth in the early stages with all three of my kids and if you;re considering cloth diapering, this will be a good resource for you.
  • Herbal Remedies for a Peaceful Postpartum by Christine Cassella ($4.99)
  • Nurse Smart Breastfeeding Handbook by Trina and Alli ($9.00)
  • The First Six Weeks: Thriving Naturally On Your Postpartum Journey by Rebekah Thompson ($4.99) – 73pgs. I didn’t know if this was because I didn’t know any better, or because there wasn’t much out there, or what, but when I had my daughter almost 7yrs ago I had no idea all that happened during the postpartum period! I didn’t realize I’d bleed for weeks, that my boobs would become engorged, that I’d keep having contraction like pain whenever baby latched. While I have no need for this book anymore (3 kids and done), if you’re in or about to be in the postpartum stage, this might be a good fit for you.

Wellness & Self-Care
orange = Amazon link

  • Beat Self Sabotage: How to Overcome the Emotions That are Holding You Back by Joelle Byrne ($3.97) – 15pgs. Ok, this is a short little ebook. But at least the author didn’t try to claim it was worth $10 or something, so I’m ok with it. 🙂 Also, I actually like this resource for more than the appropriate value placed on it. Here’s why: Each page lists one behavior or emotion, then provides the following resources for each: the psychology behind it, a quote about it, a video, a website link, a book suggestion and another resource. So even though it’s a small little ebook, it’s the perfect size to process and find more help for what you need. There’s no unnecessary fluff. I love that! I feel good recommending this ebook.
  • Fuel Your Soul 1-Day Jump Start by Jennifer Lynn ($9.00)
  • How to Do Health Research Online by Leesa Klich ($75.00) – ok. So I was actually kind of excited about this course. I mean, I still am. I feel like I can’t appropriately review this course right now because this is one that I genuinely want to go through and learn for myself. Is it worth the $75? Who knows? But who cares? It’s probably worth at least $30 which is the price of this bundle and that’s what matters to me right now. Here’s the author’s “Health Philosophy” and she pretty much won me over right there. A girl after my own stuck-in-the-middle-truthful-to-the-end heart. If you’re interested in both science and holistic health, and think that there are extremes at both ends and you’re looking or somewhere in the middle for yourself, this will be for you. I’m looking forward to going through the course more in-depth.

Bonuses

As of this writing, I have not taken advantage of any of the bonuses this year!! The Bonuses used to be my favorite part of each bundle, but in the past year or so I’ve found myself not being as interested in them as before.  I *might* try the MyGreenFills bonus. And I do love MadeOn products (I wrote about their awesome BeeCool stick here), so I might eventually redeem this one too. But that’s about it for this bundle. 🙁

  1. Ronni – Thanks for the shoutout! The best part of being in this bundle is connecting with other people who share my science AND holistic philosophies! SO great to meet another “stuck-in-the-middle-truthful-to-the-end heart” when it comes to health! <3

    • As usual, when I heard a new bundle was coming out, I came to your website to see what your opinion is, and based on your review purchased it through your link! Thanks Ronnie for all the info.

      I actually downloaded most of the cheat sheets, and based on that will decide which things to download.

      I did begin listening to Leesa Klich right away though! It looked interesting, and I’m in the middle now. I really like that she brings her sources, etc… I’m enjoying it.
