Crated With Love Date Night Box Review: I Love the 80s! (Apr. ’17)

Hey – I might be about to go into labor (fingers crossed for any day now! …though I’m realistically not due for another week or two, but still…I can hope…), but KP and I still find time for at-home date nights. Crated With Love again to the rescue! And let’s be honest, I highly doubt we’ll be getting out anytime soon after the birth for an out-of-the-house date night. So really – Crated With Love to the rescue! πŸ™‚

April’s Crated With Love box theme was “I Love the 80s!”

Date Night In Subscription Box Review – March 2017 Pamper Your Love

Two years ago, when I first stumbled onto the concept of at-home date night subscription boxes and put together a blog post listing the ones that I’d found – I had NO IDEA how the post would take off, how many new and exciting date night box companies were in development and how many date night boxes KP and I would be lucky enough to get to try out and review! It’s certainly been fun to see what each date night box service offers and feeling as though I’ve become the “expert” on all things date night boxes, lol.

A few months ago, I stumbled upon a new company, Date Night In, and KP and I finally got a chance to try out one of their boxes.

Unbox Love February 2017 Review

KP and I have had the great privilege of being able to try out many of these date night subscription boxes over the past year or two. First and foremost, I want to thank all of the date night subscription box companies out there for providing such a service! In the early years of marriage it’s often easy to spend time together as a couple and do regular date nights – but man, as time passes and life changes (especially if/once kids enter the mix), finding time to spend together is a SERIOUS challenge. And getting OUT of the house alone together, for a “proper date”, especially without family nearby, feels almost darn near impossible at times.

Are the Ultimate Bundles Legit? Scam? Amazing deal? Or marketing ploy?

So a blogger you follow is raving about this “Ultimate Bundle” thing. But you’re skeptical (and as you should be! Good for you, using discernment before jumping on bandwagons!) and you searched “ultimate homemaking/ healthy living/ essential oil/ photography/ whatever bundle reviews” or perhaps just “ultimate bundles review” and ended up here.

If so, welcome! – you’ve landed at the right place. Before becoming a blogger myself, I too saw these bundles and wondered what they were all about. I’m here to give you my honest-to-goodness lowdown on these bundles. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

When Rocksbox Goes Bad: What Happens If You Break a Piece and/or Get a Rocksbox You Hate

3/25/17 note: I originally wrote the below post back about “When Rocksbox Goes Bad” in Oct. ’16, but never added pictures and it just sat in my drafts folder (along with sadly many other posts abandoned for one reason or another). I’m going through my drafts folder now, trying to throw some of them out into the light of day to see what comes from them. Enjoy. But sorry I’m just now posting too.

Crated With Love Review: My Kaizen Crush (Mar. ’17), aka our date night fight

KP and I have been doing the Crated With Love date night subscription boxes for the past several months. I’ve been reviewing them on the blog to help people get an idea about what one of these at-home date night box services are like.

So this past Friday night -after a long week- KP and I sat down to have our date night. Can I be honest? Both of us were exhausted, and probably would’ve preferred to veg out in front of the tv instead. But we’ve been busy and haven’t even had many nights to spend together lately, so out of commitment and obligation, we forced ourselves to set up the date box anyway.

And let’s just say our date night did not turn out as planned.

Crated With Love Date Night Box Review: Stuck on You (Feb. ’17)

The other night was Crated With Love date box night here in the Peck household. πŸ™‚ I’ll be honest: it’s lately been really hard for KP and I to manage to spend time together. He usually doesn’t get home until late, I often have to work online in the evenings when he is home, or he has to finish up work on his laptop. When we both actually do have a break before bed, we tend to turn on the tv…and either fall asleep on the couch or take our devices to bed with us and play games or surf online until we do. I know these are not the healthiest relationship habits, and it’s something we need to work on, but after long days it’s a habit we’ve unfortunately fallen into.

So I’m really glad that we’ve had a chance to try out so many of these date night subscription boxes because it’s “forced” us to actually set aside time together, lol. So please know that I don’t just recommend these boxes for other couples, but we actually use them ourselves.

Crated With Love Date Night Box Review: FounDATEions (Jan. ’17)

I talk about date night subscription boxes A LOT on my blog…I know. πŸ™‚ For you long-time readers, I hope you’ve had the chance to try at least one of them out by now! However, if this is the first you’ve heard of them -or the first you’ve heard of Crated With Love- let me tell you more!

KP and I have been lucky to test out a a few of the Crated With Love boxes now (so I have a pretty good feel for the product and what you’re likely to get each month). Here is the latest box (Jan. 2017 – FounDATEions) and our review.

The Complete List of At Home Date Night Subscription Boxes (& promo codes!)

While I also cover heavier marriage issues in my blog, this post deals with something a bit lighter, but still very important to the success of marriage relationships: Spending Quality Time Together, aka Date Night.

If you’re in a rut of trying to come up with ideas for date nights, or if you don’t really have time for date nights, or you don’t want to spend the money to hire a babysitter, these at home date night subscription boxes take care of most of the work for you.

Making Saul Goodman

What is it called when you write a bunch of twitter posts all in a row, continuing one sentence onto the next tweet, over and over in order to tell a longer story or thought? Whatever it’s called, that’s what I just did. Who knows why I wrote it on twitter instead of a blog post, but for some reason, it just flowed that way better.

Anyway, since I’m all about cross posting on multiple social media platforms – and because I’m sure that no one is reading my twitter feed in the middle on the night and will catch it – here is my recent tweet stream:
